Population and Diets

Obviously, human diets are deeply intertwined with health. What we eat has the potential to nurture us and create lasting, healthy change. However our current dietary trends are upsetting a delicate balance. Globally, increased consumption of red meats carbohydrates and inexpensive processed food is driving unprecedented rates of chronic disease. And global hunger has been rising since 2015. We need to imagine food systems that support the health, wellness and nourishment of our bodies and prioritize access of healthy, regional and nourishing foods for all communities. This is an area where profound personal, social and equitable change can happen.
